Astrologer Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PR TECHNOLOGIES ("AstroYaati", "we") collects and uses personal data of astrologers who use the AstroYaati Astrologer app. It follows the IT Act, 2000, the SPDI Rules, 2011, the IT Rules, 2021 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information we collect

Identity and login: name, mobile number (OTP login), photo, gender, date of birth, and verification documents you submit (for example PAN) for onboarding and tax purposes.
Professional profile: bio, skills, languages, experience, gallery photos, pricing and ratings.
Bank and payout details: account holder name, account number, IFSC or UPI ID, used only for payouts and tax compliance.
Work data: online and offline time, chat, call and live sessions, missed requests, earnings, gifts, reviews, rankings and performance statistics.
Consultation content: messages, files and notes you create while serving customers.
Device data: device model, OS, app version, notification token, IP address and crash logs. We use camera and microphone only during calls and live sessions that you start or accept. We do not collect precise GPS location.

3. How we use it

To verify you and show your public profile to customers: name, photo, bio, skills, languages, experience, price, ratings, reviews and online status.
To send you consultation requests and connect calls and live sessions.
To calculate earnings, make payouts, and deduct and report TDS or other taxes as the law requires.
To measure quality and availability, for example for ranking and visibility, and to give you tips and performance reports.
For safety, fraud prevention, handling customer complaints and enforcing our Terms.
To provide support and send important updates.

4. Who we share it with

Customers see your public profile and the messages you send them. Your phone number and bank details are never shown to customers.
Banks, payment and payout partners (such as Razorpay) process payouts.
Tax authorities receive the details required for TDS and other tax filings.
Service providers process data under contract: Google Firebase / Google Cloud (login, database, storage, notifications) and LiveKit (voice, video and live).
Courts, regulators or law-enforcement agencies, when required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Customer data you see

During consultations you may see a customer's name, photo, birth details and messages. You must keep this information confidential and use it only for that consultation. You may not copy, screenshot, share or store it outside the app. You may not contact customers outside AstroYaati. Breaking this rule can lead to permanent suspension and legal action.

6. Storage, security and retention

Data is stored on Google Cloud, with the main database in the India (Mumbai) region, and is protected by encryption in transit and access controls.

While your account is active, we keep your data so the app can work.
After you delete your account:
- Your profile is hidden from customers at once and you cannot log in.
- Your pending earnings are settled to your bank account after verification. After that, your bank details, gallery and profile photo are deleted.
- Registration details (name and mobile number) and consultation records are kept for 1 year, for complaints and lawful investigations under IT Rules 2021, Rule 3(1)(h), and DPDP Rules 2025.
- Earnings, payout, invoice and TDS records are kept for up to 8 years, as required by Income-tax and GST laws.
- A one-way encrypted code (hash) of your mobile number is kept, to prevent re-registration after a ban.

7. Your rights

You can view and update most profile details in the app. Some changes need admin approval. You can delete your account from Settings > Delete Account, or by writing to support@astroyaati.com. You can also withdraw consent, ask how your data is used, or raise a grievance.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will show the new version in the app.
